Baansuwanburi is inspired by the owner’s passion to create an authentic Ruen Thai homestay (traditional Thai style compound).The Ruen Thai is an ancient style of residence of the ancient people of Ayutthaya era which dates back hundreds of years. At the present RuenThai houses are rare to find and really few of them are habitable. Combining this beautiful authentic RuenThai house with a carefully planned landscape inspired by an aesthetic and tranquil lifestyle of Thai people in the past, when homes are built along rivers, canals or ponds makes Bannsuwanburi truly a rare gem.

The owner has a clear idea of how Baansuwanburi should be, through research and careful conceptual landscape & architectural planning to include the things which he adores such as cascading creeks and lotus ponds, flora and fauna like a true botanical garden. Then gathered skilled craftsmen , materials and Thai ancient collectibles, designed how modern amenities such as a swimming pool, Onsen hot tub, air-conditioning, modern bathrooms, wifi etc can be incorporated in to the project. Thus was the creation of Baansuwanburi luxury homestay.

The residences are Thai wooden houses of Ayutthaya and Lanna era styles. The formation of the habitats is Ayutthaya style (detached rooms connected via vast terraces), but decorated with Lanna ( Thai Northen Style) items. The three detached rooms share the common terraces which is also used for seating areas, living areas, as well as dining.

There are three more Lanna style stand alone villas which all of them feature a spacious bedroom with ensuite bathrooms and private verandas. These villas are placed within the botanical gardens , immersed in the calming shades of the abundant trees and gardens within the premises.

From the moment you step in to Baansuwanburi, you will surely be enticed by the unique atmosphere of Thai comfort and lush green natural atmosphere.

Baansuwanburi is on the outskirt of Chiang Mai city on the third outer ring road in Sansai subdistrict, 7 Kilometers from downtown & The old city. Only minutes away from various attractions, markets, shopping centers, hospitals, etc.
We are a hundred fifty meters from the original branch of the nationally acclaimed “Oh Ka Ju” organic restaurant which is not to be missed .A local morning and evening market and community temple is just 1.5 Kilometers from us, easily reached on foot or by bicycle.

Four Kilometers from Ruamchoke community mall and market, Tesco Lotus superstore, VT Vietnamese restaurant, five Kilometers from Central Festival shopping center and Jia Thongheng .

As we are situated on the 121 intercity highway, it is so easy to travel further to other famous tourist attractions within Chiang Mai or beyond, making Baansuwanburi the perfect base for your Lanna adventure & experience.
